MCC partners with NextStep Magazine to produce new Adult Learner Guide 2006-2007 (Rochester edition)


MCC has partnered with NextStep Magazine to develop a lively, informative new guide for adult students designed to ease the transition back to college.  The full color magazine features articles about returning to college written by national experts as well as our own MCC experts, including:

“It’s Never too Late to Change Your Life” by Andy Freeman, Director of Admissions, and Bill Sigismond, Director of Adult & Experiential Learning

“Transfer Timeline” by Chris Belle-Isle, Director of the Career Center

“College Is Not Just About the Classes” by Betty Stewart, Director of the Campus Center

“Are You Ready (Really?) to Go Back to School?” by Mike Doolin, Assistant Professor of English

“Real Students, Real Successes” by Robyn Federman, Marketing Communications Specialist

Other articles include: Creative Ways to Earn College Credit, Should You Get Your Degree Online?, Paying for College, and The Costs of Being a Nontraditional Student.  Articles are also posted on The Next Step’s Web site, which has a national audience,  at https://www.nextstepmagazine.com/nsmpages/AdultLearner.aspx. 

MCC is the exclusive sponsor of this issue of the Adult Learner Guide, which will be available in libraries, career centers, at MCC events and at other locations throughout the county.  Copies are also available in the MCC Admissions Office and in the Faculty Mailroom.
