National Latino AIDS Awareness Day Observed at MCC

Free HIV testing and health screenings will be offered at the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Monroe Community College’s Damon City Campus (4th floor atrium).

Activities will include confidential “rapid” HIV testing (participants receive results in 20 minutes), health screenings including blood pressure and glucose, and a variety of giveaways, such as condoms. Representatives from community health organizations also will be available to answer questions.

This event is sponsored by MCC’s Health and Physical Education Department, the Damon City Campus Student Events and Governance Association, the Wellness Center and the Rays of Hope Committee, including AIDS Rochester and other Rochester community agencies.
