The MCC Design-Build-Fly team has qualified to compete in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Collegiate Flight Competition to be hosted by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas from April 13-15. To qualify teams were required to submit a detailed design report that included an analysis of the flight design and descriptions of the materials and fabrication techniques.
MCC is the only community college team in the field of 76 teams that includes MIT, Cornell, Purdue, and Cal-Poly. MCC’s team consists of Engineering Science students Steve Powers, Alyssa Palmieri, Alec Vozzy, Ben Rothstein, and Chase Nau-Hix.
