ESP Dept. Resumes Annual State-Wide TYESA MCC Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Competition
Dear Students, Friends, and Colleagues,
The Engineering Science and Physics department is resuming hosting an annual state-wide TYESA MCC mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) competition on Friday, May 6, 2022 at MCC PAC field house.
Competing students have to design, build and pilot a small, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to transport an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) through a series of obstacles to perform a reconnaissance mission, and navigate the UAV back to the initial starting point. This project is designed to simulate a rescue mission where human navigation is dangerous, and aerial navigation is partially dificult.

The TYESA MCC mini UAV competition on May 6, 9:00am-2:00pm schedule is as follows:
- 9:00 am - 10:00 am Team Check In and Set Up
- 10:00 am - 11:00 am Poster Session
- 11:00 am - Noon Lunch/test run
- Noon - 1:30pm UAV competition
- 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm Awards ceremony
There will be six other institutions participating in this event.
