Downtown Campus - Saturday, October 12, 2019 Temporary Street Closures and Alternative Parking - Update

Due to unexpected NYS DOT construction on the Inner Loop, the route for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, October 12th had to be adjusted very quickly to utilize downtown streets instead of the Inner Loop. We apologize for the late notification.

On Saturday, October 12, 2019 the Rochester Police Department will temporarily close the following Downtown Campus streets to provide a safe environment for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's. The walk begins at 10:00 am at Frontier Field.

The following street will close at 9:30 am:

  • Morrie Silver Way from Oak St. to Plymouth Ave.

The following streets will close at 9:45 am:

  • Morrie Silver Way - CLOSED - between Oak St. and N. Plymouth Ave.
  • Oak St. - CLOSED - between Erie St. and Morrie Silver Way
  • N. Plymouth Ave. - CLOSED - between Brown St. and Broad St.
  • State St. - Local Traffic Only - between Andrews St. and Main St.

Students, faculty, staff, and visitors arriving at the Downtown Campus on Saturday, October 12, 2019 after 9:30 am, or planning to leave the campus prior to 11:45 am should park in Kodak Lot D using the Oak St. entrance.

Vehicles parked in MCC Lot AA, Lot BB (Plaza Lot) or the Underground Lot will not be able to exit those parking lots until the streets re-open at about 11:45 am.
