Statement to the College Community

This summer, I was nominated in the search for the next president of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). The college serves over 73,000 students at six campuses in a district located across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The opportunity offered at NOVA is unique, and this nomination is the first I have considered since coming to MCC. Nothing else could draw me away from a college I love and have served with pride every day for over a decade.

After much thought, I accepted the nomination and yesterday was named a finalist in the search.

Throughout this process, I remain fully dedicated and committed to our inspiring College, students, faculty, staff, and community--you can and should expect nothing less.
