I am pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has appointed Hezekiah Simmons as Vice President, Administrative Services. Heze has very capably served as interim Vice President since July 2007 and has earned the opportunity to fulfill this role on a more permanent basis.
Heze came to MCC as assistant vice president, Administrative Services in March 2003. Before joining MCC, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer at New Horizons Computer Learning Center, Controller at Xerox’s Reproduction Group, and Vice President for Finance and Administration at Xerox’s Document Solutions Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance.
Heze serves as secretary for New York State Community College Business Officers Association. In the community, he serves as Vice President of the board and Chair of the Board Development Committee for Jefferson Avenue Childhood Development Center.
Heze has an M.B.A in finance from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in chemistry from Johnson C. Smith University.
