Each holiday season the Open Door Mission helps to meet the needs of families and approximately 2000 children. Families supported by the “Open Door Mission” have expressed a need to provide for their children.
The item most requested by children each Christmas is new underwear.
As a result, “The Undercover Project” has been developed. The program’s organizer is Lynda Cowie of the Communication and Network Services Department. The goal to meet this basic need is to collect new in the package children’s underwear for boys and girls ages 4 to 10.

Building ties within the community is part of the B.A.S.I.C. club’s initiative this year. As part of this mission the B.A.S. I. C. club of MCC will also be collecting these items for the Open Door Mission both within the community and here at MCC.
