Announcing a Spring 2009 Trip to Berlin and Prague


The year 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which came down in late 1989. The ESOL & Foreign Languages Dept. invites you to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit places that once were behind the Iron Curtain. Plan now for an unforgettable experience during Spring Recess 2009. Come with us to Berlin, Dresden, Prague and Munich!

DATES: April 17 to April 27, 2009 (Spring Recess) ITINERARY: Berlin, Dresden, Prague and Munich  
                                               
COST: $ 2,940 including all taxes and departure fees VISITS: The Reichstag (Germany’s Parliament), Unter den Linden Boulevard, The Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie Museum, Story of Berlin Exhibition, The Jewish Museum of Berlin, Dresden and the Zwinger Museum, St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, Stare Mesto (Old Town) in Prague, Marienplatz in Munich, and much more!Optional visits to Potsdam and Theresienstadt. The itinerary focuses on history and culture, and provides free time for personal sightseeing. 

PRICE INCLUDES:           
Round-trip airfare from Rochester, Hotels with private facilities, European breakfast and dinner daily, Entrance to many museums and historical sites.  Sightseeing tours with professional local guides and full-time bilingual Tour Director. 

Participants in this tour must register in GER 221 – Germanic Culture On Location (3 hrs., credit or audit, no prerequisites) in the Spring Semester 2009. Single rooms are available for an additional fee. Participants younger than 25 receive a reduction of $340 with accommodation in triple rooms. Comprehensive insurance coverage (medical, cancellation, baggage loss) available for $115.  The $95 lifetime registration fee charged by EF Educational Tours is included in the price quoted above. Possibility of monthly payments with no interest.
