Donna Augustine is Leaving for Virginia Tech

Please join DCC, Academic Services and the Department of Education as we wish farewell to Donna Augustine after five years of outstanding service to the STEP Program, Service Learning and Academic Services.  It is hard to believe Donna has been with us for such a short time.  She has had “many jobs” here at MCC, so I am sure that we will all agree that we will miss her passion for math and science and the empowerment of all students.  Donna is leaving MCC and DCC for a position at Virginia Tech as Director of the Youth Science Cooperative Outreach Agreement, a $17.2 million national STEM outreach effort with the Army and multiple partners.  She will be working with consortium partners to facilitate and evaluate STEM outreach programs funded by the Department of Defense – Army.  The aim is to produce efficient and effective programs that will support and encourage young Americans to pursue careers in STEM to serve the public interest – whether that is for defense or for national competitiveness.

Her last day is Friday May 20th.  Help us to wish Donna great success in her new position.

Please join us at a farewell reception:
