Attendance due by February 13th

Attendance is due by February 13th for Spring 2023 full-term courses.  

*Note: This is a separate process from weekly Starfish attendance, and is used in reporting for Financial Aid purposes.  

Important Student Non-Attendance Entry Information

Please wait to enter the ‘never attended’ code of ‘0’ until February 13-14.  Entering this code before February 13th will trigger an immediate drop for non-attendance; students have the right to demonstrate their attendance/participation through the census date which is not the case if the ‘0’ code is entered early.  Note: the code must be entered before the Financial Aid freeze date of February 15th.  Thank you for your cooperation in helping to meet this tight time frame!

Instructions:  

How to Enter Attendance in Banner:  

  • Go to the MyMCC portal and select the Employee profile.
  • Login using your MCC email address and your account password. 
  • Select the Banner tile.
  • Select the B8 (Banner) Self Service Tile.
  • Select the Faculty Services tab.  
  • Select Attendance, Withdrawal & Final Grades.
  • Click Attendance, Withdrawal, and Final Grades. 
  • Select the correct term and click Submit.
  • Select the correct section and click Submit. 
  • Under the Attend Hours put the correct code for every student in your class:  
    • 1 if the student has attended the class  
    • 0 if the student has never attended your class  
  •  At the bottom of the form, click Submit.
  •  At this point go back to close the form and then go back into it, to make sure you submitted it successfully and there's a number in the column for every student.
