Nomination Window Extended for Faculty Senate Vice President, Teaching Faculty

As per the Tribune Announcement from June 7, 2017, nominations for MCC's three Faculty Senate officers were due by close of business (4:45pm), June 13, 2017. As of that time, completed nominations had been received for the offices of President, and for Vice President, Professional Staff. Nominations for these two offices are now closed -- no further nominations will be accepted.

On behalf of the Faculty Senate, the Nominations, Elections and Governance (NEG) Committee is extending the call for nominations for the office of Vice President, Teaching Faculty. Self-nominations or nominations of colleagues may be submitted in writing via email to the NEG Chair (Michael Heel, mheel@monroecc.edu) until 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 (today).

Additional details as follows:

  • All candidate nominations must be accompanied by a candidate statement of no more than 500 words outlining the individual's qualifications, reasons for running, goals of service, and/or any other professional/biographical information that would help voters make their decisions;
  • Candidates for Vice President, Teaching faculty may be any individual currently a member of the teaching faculty, and currently a member of the voting faculty as defined by Article IV, Section 1 of the Faculty Senate Bylaws.
