AAWCC Holiday Luncheon Generates Books for School #45

Eighty-one members of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) celebrated their 2005 achievements at the December 7 holiday luncheon. More than 150 books plus cash were donated at the luncheon for School #45 and more will be accepted until December 15 (contact Jennifer Kinslow, Counseling & Advising, Rm 1-231 or Yulanda McKinney, English/Philosophy, Rm 5-519 or Vilma Morrow, DCC Student Services, 5th floor). Thanks to all who donated so generously!

Keynote speaker, Rosanna Condello, College and Community Relations, gave a most interesting and inspiring talk about the life of Mary McLeod Bethune for whom School #45 was named. She also recognized the accomplishments of AAWCC over the past year and showed how they were well-aligned with the values that Mary McLeod Bethune lived.

The photo collage below that captured the spirit of the event was designed by Toni Robbins, Counseling and Advising.
