Public Safety Supervisors Complete ICS 300 Incident Command System Training
MCC Public Safety Lieutenants Sam Hillmon, Chad Rushforth, and Ray Sprague recently completed ICS 300 Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents Training at the Public Safety Training Facility.
This 24 hour Homeland Security and Emergency Services course is designed to enable senior staff personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). This course focuses on management of expanding incidents and was developed under the leadership of the NWCG and complies with the NIMS/HSPD-5 requirements for Incident Command System training.
Course Objectives include:
- Describe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
- Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed in the ICS.
- Implement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.
- Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident
