Curriculum Update follows the Admissions Update and Goes Greener

Curriculum Office supports the college’s efforts to Go Greener, and will not stuff college mailboxes with 1200 copies of the Spring 2009 Curriculum Update newsletter. We have attached a PDF file for you to view. The newsletter will also be accessible on the Curriculum homepage.  The new issue includes the due dates for Catalog changes, SLN and Hybrid online course proposals, Program and Course proposals, Assessment News and Articulation Agreements.

We are also introducing a new electronic process for corrections and updates to the 2009/2010 Catalog and a new link to access Course Learning Outcomes.  Curriculum is our highest priority and we strive to use the newsletter to bring the college community up-to-date on curriculum developments and improvements to our process and practices.

Talking about going greener, did you know that the college offers a Sustainability Certificate?
The Sustainability Group, led by Matthew Fox and Bethany Gizzi, developed an interdisciplinary sustainability certificate registered by the State Education Department.  The program purpose is “ to introduce students to the ways that different disciplines affect and are affected by the field of sustainability; to help students understand the complex web of cause and effect that interconnects those disciplines; and to connect an understanding of sustainability to larger issues of energy, the environment, social and economic justice, agriculture, etc.”

The Curriculum Office hopes you enjoy this new paperless format. We welcome your feedback and suggestions.
