This year, CSTEP is sending seven high achievers to conduct research through the Bridges to Baccalaureate program at Binghamton University. Students will spend 5 weeks at Binghamton conducting research in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and the Physical Sciences.  We are proud of the academic accomplishments, many are on their way to pursue careers in medicine as well as, scientific research.

The students are:
Andrea Erazo
Nyssa I. Clausell
Carlos R. Pena
Samuel Y.Hagos
Gabriella Murphy
Yetunde A. Olaode
Jose Carlos Gallegos

Again, congratulations to the class of 2013 Bridges to Baccalaureate participants.

CSTEP is funded through a legislative grant by the New York State Education Department and has been at MCC for over 25 years.  The mission of CSTEP is to increase the numbers of individuals who are underrepresented or economically disadvantaged to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), health and licensed professions. MCC CSTEP students have gone on to pursue Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in these fields.  Many have also gone directly to a CSTEP-target field upon graduation from MCC.
