Back in June two Upward Bound seniors, Kayla Turnipseed and Rosetta Washington, were named valedictorian of their graduating class. Kayla attended Edison Tech. High School, and Rosetta, Charlotte High School. Both young ladies were very active in Upward Bound, serving their community, and school activities. We are very proud of their accomplishments.
This fall, Kayla began her college career at the Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in Business Administration. Rosetta chose to venture further away and now calls Connecticut her new home. She is settling in at the University of New Haven where she’s concentrating in Juvenile Criminal Justice.
The Upward Bound staff wishes them continued success.
