Community college leaders today face many challenges. Continued institutional success depends on well-prepared and innovative leaders. In response to these challenges I am pleased to announce the inception of the Leadership Academy at MCC. The purpose of the Academy is to enhance the leadership skills of mid- and upper-level administrators (faculty and professional staff) within the College by broadening their institutional knowledge and fostering capacity to effectively address challenges that may impact their current and/or future roles within the College.
This program will commence this summer with a retreat followed by 8 seminars during the 2007-08 academic year. Participation will be limited to 15-18 people.
For those interested in learning more about the Academy, an informational session is planned for March 30, at 12 noon in Room 5-100. In addition, you may download a copy of the information packet by going to:
My Computer: M:Offices/Shared/Leadership/Leadership Academy Application or contact Lynn Rivers at ext. 3011 in the Planning Office for a “hard copy” of the application information.
Deadline for applications is May 1, 2007.
