MCC basketball players Keona Jones and Tim Cokley have been named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Jones, a sophomore forward, averaged 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as the Lady Tribunes defeated Canada's National Elite Development Academy twice in the Pete Pavia Tournament over the weekend. She had 15 points each game and shot 76 percent from the field.
Cokley was named Pavia Tournament MVP after helping lead the Tribunes to wins over CCAC-Allegheny and Harcum College last weekend. The sophomore forward ignited a second-half charge that helped MCC erase a halftime deficit against Harcum in the title game. He averaged 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in the tournament.
