The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for the next week (faculty & staff please share with students):

48-Hour Horror Film Festival

  • Start: Friday October 21st, 5:30-7:00 pm, Bldg. 3-172
  • Finish: Sunday October 23rd, 7:00-10:00 pm, Bldg.8-200

All students are welcome to join Cinema Society for their 48-Hour Horror Film Festival competition. Teams will be given prompts to create their own horror film. The films will premier Sunday night. Prizes & food available.  For more information email vdangelmaier@student.monroecc.edu

Honor Flight

  • Sunday October 23rd, 12:00 pm, Greater Rochester International Airport

Hello, all MCC students, faculty, and staff! This Sunday we will have an opportunity to welcome home our veterans. Rochester, New York is one of 130 established 'hubs' in the national Honor Flight Network. Come join the Veterans Club and SGA to welcome our veterans home. Wear your MCC Swag; create a welcome sign, if you choose, to show your club’s support.

Pride Bracelet Fundraiser

  • Monday October 24th, 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, Campus Center Terrace

Stop by the Terrace to help support Pride Alliance for their bracelet fundraiser. Bracelets will represent different flags and pronouns,  purchase a bracelet for $2.00!

LEAD Certificate Registration Event

  • Tuesday October 25th, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, Empire Room 3-209

Come get registered for the LEAD Certificate offered to all students by the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development.  Gain a leadership certificate on your own timeline and add it to your resume and transcripts!

Phi Theta Kappa Information Session

  • Wednesday October 26th, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, Bldg. 3-115

Are you curious what Phi Theta Kappa is and how you can get involved? Join current PTK officers for a general information session to learn about benefits, scholarship, and eligibility.

Black Student Union Halloween Game Day

  • Thursday October 27th, 11:30 am-1:30 pm,  Bldg.3-139A

Join Black Student Union for a spooky and fun Halloween game day! Food & door prizes available while supplies last!

  • Campus One80 students and staff will be travelling to a Bible Study Conference. Interested in learning more about what Campus One80 does? Join them for a member meeting Mondays, 12:00-1:00pm, 3-139A.
