Planned Power Outages for Brighton Campus on Saturday, July 27

Facilities needs to complete critical deferred maintenance on the electrical substations at the Brighton Campus on Saturday, July 27th.

This work will require two (approximately) 2-hour power outages of the entire campus. The first will be in the morning, beginning sometime between 8am and 9am. During this period, the electrical contractor will isolate the work area and feed power to the campus via an alternate route. The second outage will be at the end of the work day to reconnect the work area and primary electrical feed. The start time for the second outage is expected to be sometime between 3pm and 4pm. The times could shift if any unforeseen conditions are discovered.

The campus will have power during the period between the morning and afternoon outages.

We strongly suggest that you power off all computers and sensitive electronic equipment before you leave campus prior to Saturday, July 27th. Also, if you work remotely and need to have your desktop PC powered up to connect to Remote Desktop, please make arrangements to have someone on campus turn it back on for you after the outages.

Your consideration and cooperation with this critical undertaking is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please call 585-292-2804 or email Quent Rhodes at qrhodes@monroecc.edu
