Tentative FA Contractual Agreement Reached

On Tuesday, the Faculty Association and College negotiating teams, with the assistance of the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) mediators, arrived at a tentative contractual agreement between the Faculty Association and the MCC Board of Trustees. While there are important steps yet to be taken, I am grateful that the parties were able to reach an agreement at the table.

Next steps include a ratification vote by the Faculty Association membership followed by a vote by the MCC Board of Trustees. Faculty Association leadership will work with its membership to define a timeline for the vote.

My thanks go to the members of both negotiating teams for the many months of hard work that brought us to this tentative agreement. Please know that the Board and administration are grateful to all Faculty Association members for your unwavering commitment to MCC and our students, and for your patience throughout the negotiation process.
