Advanced Studies Program Revision

The College received registration notification from the New York State Education Department for revision of Advanced Studies, leading to a certificate.  The Advanced Studies certificate, HEGIS Code 5649, was revised from an embedded certificate to a stand-alone certificate.  The number of credit hours, among other revisions was increased to 24 to 27 hours to allow students from a variety of discipline interests the opportunity to pursue advanced studies and apply the certificate to the college’s transfer degree programs.

Advanced learning experiences with people, places, events, and ideas are offered through the Advanced Studies Certificate.  Admission into the College’s Honors Institute is automatic once accepted into the Advanced Studies certificate program.
