Reminder: TCC Conversation at Damon on Wednesday, February 25

The Damon Teaching and Creativity Center will host a conversation entitled “Knowing Your Students: Myths and Realities of Disability Services” this Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at College Hour (12-12:50 p.m.) in Room 5124.

Have you ever wondered if you should give extra test-taking time to a student whose first language is not English? Do you wonder if showing video clips during class is being insensitive to your students who are blind? Join your fellow teaching faculty and featured speaker, Lisa Bierre (Student Services), and find out everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask in regards to students with disabilities. Along the way, discover techniques that build more inclusive and intellectually engaging classroom environments.

All full-time and part-time college faculty members are welcomed.

Presented by the Damon TCC Committee.
