Friends and Colleagues,
When I joined you last August, I had no idea we were poised for a year unlike any other for Donna and me. We have been awed by your professionalism, dedication and talent, and enriched by your friendship. Truly, there are few community colleges in this country that can match what you have created here.
As I prepare to turn the office over to Dr. Kress, I must give thanks to the members of the Board of Trustees, and particularly Rich Guon, for the opportunity to serve MCC, for their support, and for their unexpected, but deeply appreciated, generous hospitality.
I leave you in the capable and committed hands of Dr. Kress, and I invite you to partner with her and to support her in whatever way you can. I will enjoy watching—from Florida, North Carolina or wherever the next opportunity might take us—what you will accomplish together. I have no doubt she will enjoy MCC and the Greater Rochester community.
When I joined you in August, I shared with you my “A Student is…” credo. To paraphrase from it, thank you for granting me the favor of serving you. It has been my honor and deep pleasure.
