The third session in the Diversity Council’s program series “Combating Whispers and Suspicions: Valuing Diverse Hires,” scheduled for April 14 and 16, has been postponed because of conflict with the presidential search schedule.
The new dates are:
-- Thursday, April 30, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Damon City Campus in Room 5057. Scheduled speaker is Renee Baker, manager of Faculty Recruitment at Rochester Institute of Technology.
-- Tuesday, May 5, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Brighton Campus in the Board Lounge (third floor, Bldg. 1). Scheduled speaker is Clay Osborne, vice president of Workforce Diversity and Organizational Effectiveness in Corporate Human Resources, at Bausch & Lomb.
The third session will focus on how other local colleges and businesses practice diversity. Local employers will share their opportunities and challenges.
