Department of Public Safety Active Threat Training

Please take note that the MCC Department of Public Safety will be conducting an Active Threat training exercise on campus in vacant building 9A on Tuesday, December 20.  The training will begin at approximately 6:30 am and will run until approximately 3:30 pm.

This training is practical in nature, and may appear to be an actual incident to those in the area – this of course is not the case.  Signs and yellow police tape will be in place as well as Public Safety personnel strategically positioned to indicate that the area is being utilized as an ongoing training exercise.

This training session is being held in collaboration with Brighton Police Dept. and the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff as an integral part of the College’s preparedness effort.

We do not anticipate that this training will interfere or interrupt any College function.
