Save the date: "Creating an MCC Renaissance" on 3/9/11 3-5 PM

Interested in global education, diversity of all kinds, and how both can enhance students’ learning experiences and our own professional lives? Mark your calendar for “Creating an MCC Renaissance,” sponsored by the MCC Global  Education Project, on Wednesday, March 9, from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Brighton Room (3-217), open to all MCC faculty and staff.

Dr. Moka Lantum, founder of the Baobab Cultural Center in Rochester, will use the “Medici effect” described by Frans Johansson as the framework for a panel presentation and breakout group discussions about how MCC staff, faculty, and administrators can join in cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary idea exchange to encourage global awareness, creativity, and innovation among the entire MCC community.

For more information about the Medici effect, see Frans Johansson’s website ( https://www.themedicieffect.com/about/ ) and a YouTube video of Johansson’s presenting his concept ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms3ZlS2jX_4 ).
