Recent false active threat reporting

Dear Campus Community,

Wednesday in Pennsylvania and yesterday in New York, several schools received “shots fired” active threat calls, all of which were deemed to be false. There have been no such calls at MCC. We understand this type of situation can be unsettling, and we want to remind everyone to remain calm and not to spread unverified information. If you should receive this type of call, please immediately contact MCC Public Safety at (585) 292-2911 with details (i.e. time of call, description of voice/accent, what was said, etc.).  We will work with local law enforcement.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates, as necessary.
