With 62 percent of Monroe Community College students relying on financial aid to attend college, the Monroe Community College Foundation’s 11th annual Gold Star Gala, presented by M&T Bank is going to be a bonanza for both attendees and future students. The western-themed gala, entitled An Evening at the Gold Star Saloon, will be held Saturday evening, May 16 at the Country Club of Rochester, 2935 East Ave., Rochester.
Guests will enjoy gourmet western cuisine, fine wines and whiskeys and decadent desserts. Following dinner and the silent auction, Dixon Schwabl Managing Partner and four-time Gala Auctioneer Howie Jacobson will entice guests with a variety of luxury auction items. The event culminates with dancing to the Wild Nik West Show performed by Rochester favorite Nik and the Nice Guys.
Paychex President and CEO Jonathan J. Judge serves as the gala’s honorary chair and “Gold Star Marshal.” MCC alumni and MCC Foundation Directors Kathleen E. Pavelka ’79, Telecomp, Inc., and John T. Smith ’71, Brite Computers, serve as event co-chairs.
Tickets are $200 per person. All proceeds support student success at MCC. Please contact the MCC Foundation at x1500 or firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets and information.
