New Vendor for Toner Cartridges and Printer Repair
The College has been utilizing Printer Components Incorporated (PCI) of Fairport, NY to purchase all toner cartridges since 2009. PCI will be closing this coming June. The corporate headquarters is relocating the manufacturing portion of their business to Ohio and they will be exiting the printer supplies industry. One of the nice benefits of working with PCI was that the purchase of toner cartridges included no cost cleaning/trouble diagnosis for all printers. In addition, most of the cartridges were remanufactured supporting the College's sustainability efforts.
We are pleased to announce in partnership with Communications & Network Services that Toshiba Business Solutions is the College's new vendor of choice for the purchase of all toner cartridges and printer servicing. This change takes effect immediately.
Toshiba Business solutions provides a complete line of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) compatible toner cartridges for Hewlett Packard and several other major brands of laser printers. In addition they carry inkjet cartridges. The purchase of toner cartridges from this vendor will provide the same benefits to the College as PCI including cost savings on the cartridges themselves and no cost cleaning/trouble diagnosis for all printers.
Purchasing requests that you now order toners (laser and inkjet) by creating a requisition in Banner, using vendor number M00006203 (Toshiba Business Solutions). Toshiba will have a portal available within a week for you to look up pricing. In the meantime please contact your respective Buyer in Purchasing for pricing information.
This new relationship with Toshiba does not change the College process for printer problem resolution. Should you experience problems with your printer, continue to contact the Technology Services help line (dial 8324, option 3). A Technology Services technician will 'triage' the problem and determine if the services of Toshiba are needed for a repair.
