Peter Thayer was named the winner of the New York State Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges (NYSMATYC) Scholarship for Excellence in Mathematics. Peter was nominated by Professors Steve Kilner and Paul Seeburger. He was chosen from over 30 applicants across the state who had completed the Calculus sequence and maintained at least a 3.3 overall GPA and a 3.5 GPA in their mathematics courses. The $800 award was announced at the annual NYSMATYC conference held last weekend in Corning.
