Quotes That Inspire

Associate Professor of History Mark Sample (Anthropology/History/Political Science, & Sociology) says, "Of the many people I have studied in American history, Theodore Roosevelt is among my favorites. This is a person who had great tragedy in his life--losing his wife and mother on the same night, the death of a child, and more. Yet, he was able to persevere and move forward in life. His many quotes on life and politics are legion. Yet there are a few of them that particularly speak to these times."

"When you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on." - Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States
