MCC Proud: Staff Spotlight

Monroe Community College has more than 1,300 employees across all four campuses. To learn more about each other and celebrate our achievements (both in and out of the office), the Community Relations Department has created the “MCC Proud” Staff Spotlight.

  • Did you know one of your colleagues would love to travel to Sicily?
  • Did you know one of your colleagues can recite Pi to the 82nd place?
  • Did you know one of your colleagues learned English by watching Sesame Street?
  • Did you know that one of your colleagues was a vice president in banking for over twenty years?

Every month, we will share two staff spotlights in the Tribune. The articles will also appear on the MCC website, and links to the stories will be posted on social media. Look for the articles on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month (adjusted for holidays).

Our first featured colleague will appear on November 13th.

This is a fun way to learn more about each other while promoting MCC’s values of community, inclusiveness, integrity, excellence, empowerment, and stewardship.

So, if you know a co-worker who is active in the community, has a unique skill or notable accomplishment, goes above and beyond, or simply inspires you somehow, we want to hear about it!

To nominate a colleague, please contact the Community Relations Department (community@monroecc.edu). Nominees will receive an email inviting them to participate and answer questions.
