Service Learning Assistant Program

The Office of Service Learning would like to announce an exciting opportunity for all MCC students.  We are looking for several Service Learning Assistants to help coordinate our classes during the upcoming semester. This will involve communications between faculty, students, and community partners, keeping detailed records on the project, and working with the service learning office to make sure everything runs smoothly.

These positions are open to all students, including those who have not previously been involved with a service-learning course.  Our office will provide an orientation and supervision.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain leadership experience in both an academic and community setting, and one that students will take with them into their future endeavors.  The position will last one semester, and will take up approximately 2 hours a week of the student’s time, with the beginning and end of the semester being the busiest.  Students will also receive a monetary stipend for their services.  The position will provide great administrative experience for your resume, and a resource for letters of recommendation.

A job description and application are attached below.
