MCC: Affordable Higher Education

Each month, MCC sends a briefing document to legislators and others to inform them of key initiatives related to our mission and the many ways we help students achieve their goals. Often, these briefs provide our external stakeholders with a sense of how MCC is responding to the national higher education agenda.

The March 2013 brief focuses on college affordability, a hot topic of conversations for families and legislators alike. It highlights how MCC students graduate with less debt by choosing to start here, the estimated cost of education at MCC, and our transition to the SUNY Award Letter for greater financial clarity.

We know that there's always a lot happening at MCC, so beginning this month, we want to bring these briefs to your attention. They provide a focused snapshot of college activity. We hope that you will find this information helpful in your own work at MCC and in your conversations about the college in the community.
