Exciting Changes in Advising

A New Era for Student Success!

We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to Unlocking Opportunity and supporting student success here at MCC. As part of the next phase of our Advising Redesign, we’ve made significant updates to enhance the student experience and streamline the way we support our diverse college community.

Starting in the Fall 2024 semester, we welcomed 12 new Success Coaches who are dedicated to guiding students on their journey to success. In addition, all professional advisors and school specialists have transitioned to the Success Coach role, with a fresh focus on personalized, holistic support tailored to each student’s needs.

But that’s not all! The Schools and Advisement & Transfer Services offices have officially merged, creating a single, unified department now known as Student Success & Advising Services, under the leadership of Director Holly Preische. This change strengthens our ability to collaborate and serve our students even more effectively.

Additionally, our Transfer Services has now joined forces with the Career Services office, providing a comprehensive support system for students as they transition into their next stages—whether it’s further education or entering the workforce.

To ensure our Success Coaches are aligned with the needs of each school, their assignments have been based on enrollment. Here’s the full list of Success Coaches by School:
