TCC: Honoring Dental Studies Adjunct Faculty

The Health Professions, Dental Studies adjuncts are awesome! Some have been with us for many years and others, a few months. The work they do is invaluable. We are grateful for their work, especially sharing the clinical load: on-site teaching and treating patients in the clinic, reinforcing basic and advanced instrumentation techniques, grading observations and competencies, and grading comprehensive patient reports.  

In March 2020, many adjuncts and clinical faculty taught clinic via Zoom, met with students to complete competencies, and picked up extra tasks to ease the transition to a virtual learning environment. From the Fall of 2020 through Spring 2022, we had an ever-changing environment, yet our adjuncts and clinical faculty rolled with the changes and adapted new policies weekly (sometimes daily!). We couldn't have transitioned to a virtual and then back-to-campus learning environment without every person.

The students can see the passion that our adjuncts display in their work and patient care and the Dental Studies department is grateful for the service of all.
