Club for Surgical Technology coordinates a PB & J Factory

On Wednesday, April 5th, the Club for Surgical Technology students coordinated a PB & J Factory as a community service project to support the Open Door Mission in downtown Rochester. The PB & Factory is an assembly line operation where volunteers make brown paper bag lunches complete with 2 PB &J sandwiches, snack items, and a juice box, all nicely packaged with a friendly note handwritten on each bag.

The lunch bags were delivered to the Open Door Mission, allowing the organization to distribute 70 lunches to a homeless shelter in Rochester. The number of food items that students and faculty donated helped the club to exceed its original goal.

SGT Club donated the excess food to the DWIGHT food pantry on the Brighton Campus as a bonus.
