The Faculty Association and the College Management have reached agreement on the terms of a successor agreement to our present contract that expires on 8/31/04. Faculty Council unanimously approved the agreement at their meeting yesterday.
The next steps are to share the terms of the agreement with the membership and to hold a ratification vote. As mentioned in the Faculty Association Newsletter and on the FA website ( "https://www.monroecc.edu/go/FA" ), a copy of the proposed terms of the agreement will be emailed via OUTLOOK to members today. If you do not use OUTLOOK regularly, and wish to receive a hard copy, please contact the FA office immediately. Please be advised that only members will receive the terms.
Discussions of the proposed agreement will take place at two membership meetings scheduled as follows. FA President Mike Goho and Chief Negotiator Charlie Clarke, with the FA Negotiating Team, will be presenting the terms of the agreement and will answer questions from the membership.
Please plan to attend one of these very important meetings.
