Sergeant Shawn Mottram Completes Instructor Development School

MCC Public Safety Sergeant Shawn Mottram completed a two week long Instructor Development Course at the Public Safety Training Facility. 

This course provided participants with the ability to research, prepare and communicate knowledge in the field of law enforcement. Lessons focused on developing instructional objectives and lesson plans, factors that influence adult learning, communication skills, the instructional process, and methods of evaluating course effectiveness. By successfully completing this course, Sgt. Mottram will receive New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certification as a General Topics Instructor.
