Grievance Advisors for Students Needed
Early last March, we asked for volunteers to help us by serving as student Grievance Advisors, however, given the demands of COVID-related events, we were unable to facilitate a training session in 2020. We are once again seeking faculty and staff from all areas of the College to help students who file academic grievances.
To become a Grievance Advisor, faculty and staff need to attend a short training session to learn about the grievance process and the advisor's role in that process. When a grievance is filed, volunteers will receive an email asking for availability to serve. The time commitment for a grievance in total is about 2-3 hours.
If you are interested in serving students in this important role, please let Marisa LaSpina know (mlaspina@monroecc.edu). Also, please email Marisa even if you have previously emailed me with your interest!
If you have served in the past and are interested in serving again but would like a refresher training, please let Marisa know and she will set up a mini-training session for you.
Thank you!
