First Graduates from LPN Program Highlighted on TV, Radio
A ceremony recognizing 16 individuals who recently completed MCC's Licensed Practical Nurse Program garnered TV and radio coverage on May 24-25. The honorees are the first graduates from the program. They are now prepared to earn their license and join the workforce full time amid a high demand for skilled healthcare professionals across the Finger Lakes region.

Featured speakers at the ceremony, held May 24 on the Downtown Campus, included:
- President Burt-Nanna
- County Executive Bello
- Liliana Ruiz, director of Special Projects & Educational Initiatives for City of Rochester and an MCC alumna
- Carol Tegas, executive director of Finger Lakes Performing Provider System and an MCC alumna
- Stephanie Von Bacho, RN, senior director of Learning and Development at University of Rochester Medical Center and an MCC alumna
- Maureen Garbach, RN, director of nursing at Friendly Senior Living and an MCC alumna
- Grace Dengler, RN, associate chief nursing officer of long-term care at Rochester Regional Health
- MCC LPN graduate Jennifer Amponsah
