MCC Faculty Engaged in SUNY Transfer Path Review

We are pleased to announce the names of the faculty members selected to represent the College’s academic programs in a review of existing SUNY transfer paths with discipline faculty from across the SUNY system.  This threaded discussion is taking place in the SUNY Learning Commons through March 14, 2014.

Faculty are also participating in the discussion as moderators with one community college and one state-operated lead responsible to facilitate discussion and summarize the discipline recommendations for submission to the Office of the SUNY Provost by March 31, 2014.

The moderators are: Michael Boester, Geography; Dale Doty, Psychology; Elizabeth Kelly, Health and Physical Education; and James Murphy, Biology.

Throughout this process, we expect our faculty will provide information to their discipline faculty and department, as well as Mark and me regarding their input and discussion feedback from the transfer paths.

We appreciate the willingness of our faculty members to represent the College and to contribute to the goal of identifying the core knowledge and skills students need for successful transfer from MCC to the state-operated institutions.

Please see the attached Disciplinary Review Faculty Point Person listing.
