Please Mark Your Calendar and Attend MCC Scholars' Day 2023

Plan to take part in these exciting Scholars’ Day events!

Scholars’ Day Presentations: Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, 9:00 am to 1:45 pm.  All members of the MCC community are urged to spend some time in building 12 on the Brighton campus exploring the insights and achievements shared by students and faculty in poster and oral presentation sessions.

Celebration of Learning: Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Attend the Celebration of Learning at the LeRoy V. Good Library, a Scholars' Day event where students showcase their academic and creative work to the MCC community. We welcome students from all disciplines, and the event is set up like a science fair. Students will present their work at tables, and attendees will walk around and chat with them.

ESL Presents Visiting Scholar George M. Johnson, Author and Activist: Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, beginning at 7:00 pm. In this keynote, George speaks on the importance of sharing diverse stories: why we should remain resilient, how representation in media can support young adults’ mental and physical health, and what we can do to support these voices. By listening to one another and understanding the history, language, and actions necessary to change the world, we can form a community where we are all free to be our true, authentic selves. Purchase your tickets online.

No matter your interests and experience, you are guaranteed to find something fascinating and come away inspired. You have the power to add meaning to the endeavors of these hard-working scholars by showing your interest in their work.
