FAQ's about Building Community through Mindfulness Event
Thank you to those who attended our first two events. Based on feedback, we’ve put together an FAQ to tell you more about the final session scheduled on April 11th at noon in Monroe A/B.
- Is there a formal program for the entire hour?
No. Come late, leave early as your schedule allows. - What can we expect?
This is an informal opportunity to talk about mindfulness quotes with MCC staff, faculty, employees, and students. Suggestions for your time there are on the screen: sign in, take a journal, have some delicious snacks, walk the gallery of quotes, try some finger labyrinths, talk with others, listen to music, enjoy! - Are we going to meditate?
Not formally. One poster in the gallery asks about your experience with meditation. You may wish to try out a finger labyrinth, which can be a meditative experience - What’s the purpose of the event?
To build community, to take a break, to think and talk with others - Who is putting this event on?
Facilitated by Renee Dimino and Terry Shamblin and generously sponsored by the Wellness Council and the TCC
Hope to see you there!
