Chief Data Officer and AVP Institutional Research and Assessment Update

Please join me in congratulating Dr. William Dixon on his selection as the new Chief Data Officer and Associate Vice President of Institutional Research and Assessment.

Dr. Dixon has been a dedicated member of Monroe Community College (MCC) since 2017, consistently demonstrating his commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. His leadership and expertise have earned him national recognition in his field, making him a sought-after speaker both regionally and nationally.

Among his many accolades, Dr. Dixon was honored with the 2023 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service and the 2022-2023 League for Innovation in the Community College Innovation of the Year award. These awards highlight his significant contributions to the community college sector and his innovative approaches to enhancing institutional effectiveness. His service on our Strategic Planning Committee and his role as Data Lead for Unlocking Opportunity, as well as his ongoing support of our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) Council, exemplify his commitment to equitable outcomes at MCC.

Dr. Dixon has been instrumental in establishing MCC's predictive analytics system, fostering a data-informed culture that drives student success and institutional improvement. His dedication to leveraging data for strategic decision-making has positioned MCC as a leader in the field. He serves as co-chair of MCC’s Data Standards Committee and is actively engaged in the current SUNY Data System Implementation process.
