MCC’s The Democracy Commitment has received a NY Council for the Humanities grant to host discussions based on Danielle Allen’s book, Talking To Strangers. The book is on reserve at both the Brighton and Damon libraries (with valid MCC ID), as well as for purchase at both the Brighton and Damon book stores. Allen introduces a notion of ‘political friendships, which she contends can help “overcome the fossilized distrust among us” as Americans. Further information about the book can be found here:
