MCC women's basketball player Shanee Williams and men's basketball player Antonio Williams were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Shanee Williams, a freshman guard, averaged 16 points per game as the MCC women won twice. She hit three 3's and scored 14 in a 74-58 win over Arizona Western, then had four more 3's and 18 points in an 82-49 victory over Yavapai. She shot 63 percent from the field over the two games and is averaging 12.2 points on the season.
Antonio Williams, a sophomore forward, had 16 points and a career-high 21 rebounds as the top-ranked MCC men's basketball team stayed undefeated with an 82-74 win over Lakeland CC Wednesday. Williams is averaging 12.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game and is shooting 56 percent from the field for the Tribunes (10-0).
