September 11th Memorial Ceremony at MCC

Two years ago Monroe Community College constructed a September 11th monument and memorial walkway to honor and commemorate the lives lost during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Two voids within the monument, representing the World Trade Center Towers, align with the sun at 8:45 a.m. each September 11th, casting a shadow of the towers along the memorial walkway.

On behalf of the Monroe Community College's Student Government Association, I would like to invite you to this year's memorial ceremony on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. The ceremony will include remarks by President R. Thomas Flynn and myself, and a performance by the Gospel Choir. The event will take place at the Memorial Walk Monument located outside building 10. Parking is available in Lot G.

We hope you will join us as we reflect and remember.

Jenna Breen, President
Student Government Association
